About Pin Spinner
Pin Spinner is a game of gaps. A teal wheel turns at the top of the screen. You throw pins up at it from below, one tap at a time. Each one sticks in the rim. The more pins there are, the less room is left, and the more carefully you have to choose your moment.
How it works
Each level asks for a set number of pins: seven on the first, then a few more. Land them all and the wheel is cleared for the next level.
Every level is harder than the one before. The wheel spins faster, it changes direction from one level to the next, and from the second level onward it begins with some pins already in place. Its speed also swells and eases as it turns, so the rhythm is never quite even.
Your score is the total number of pins landed.
Playing it well
Watch the bottom of the wheel. That is where your pin will arrive. What matters is whether there is a clear stretch of rim passing that point.
Look for the biggest gap and throw as its leading edge passes the bottom. The pin flies quickly, but not instantly, so going a touch early puts it in the middle of the gap.
Space your pins evenly. If you place each new pin halfway between two others, the gaps stay as wide as they can be. Throwing pins in a tight cluster wastes rim.
Do not throw in a rhythm. The wheel's changing speed means the gap comes round at slightly different intervals each time.
Count what is left. The number of pins still to throw is shown at the bottom.
Reaching level four is a real achievement. It is a tense little thing, as timing-and-aim HTML5 games go.
