About Orbit Dodge
Orbit Dodge gives you a track you cannot leave and a single decision to make, over and over: keep going, or turn round. Your dot runs along a circular ring. In the centre sits a red core that fires sparks outwards in straight lines. Each spark that crosses the ring without touching you is a point.
How it works
One tap flips your direction, clockwise to anticlockwise and back. There is no brake. You are always moving.
The sparks are not thrown at random. About half of them are aimed at the place on the ring where you will be if you carry on as you are. The rest go anywhere. That mix is the heart of the game: holding your course is never safe for long, and reversing in a panic can carry you straight into a stray.
As time passes, sparks come more often and travel faster, and your own dot speeds up slightly as well.
Playing it well
Watch the centre, not your dot. A spark shows its direction the instant it leaves the core, and that is when you should decide.
When a spark is heading for your path, a single reversal is usually enough. Tap once and let it pass in front of you. Tapping twice puts you back on the original course.
Do not reverse when you do not need to. Every unnecessary turn is a chance to meet a spark you had not noticed.
When two sparks leave close together, deal with the nearer one and then look again.
Fifteen points is a solid start. As one-button HTML5 games go, it asks a lot of your attention for something so small.
